International projects

BioConsult SH is an increasingly international team of scientist from currently ten different countries with various activities outside Germany. We offer our services worldwide in cooperation with local consultancies and research institutes.

Among our international activities are:

• Participation in the establishment of the Blue Action Fund of the KfW Development Bank to establish marine protected areas in Africa, Latin America and the Asia-Pacific region
• Participation in a land use study in Ethiopia on behalf of the KfW Development Bank
• Ecological assessment of a wind farm project in the Republic of Senegal within the framework of the Feasibility Study for Wind Park Development in Senegal and Capacity Building on behalf of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ)
• Assessment of the impacts of underwater noise emissions on marine mammals in the construction of wind farms in Brittany, France
• Regular joint projects with our English subsidiary HiDef Aerial Surveying Ltd., UK
• HiDef digital aerial surveys of marine birds and mammals in France
• Assessment of wind farm development projects in Eilat, Israel
• Regular projects in our neighbouring countries the Netherlands and Denmark
• BioConsult SH is a member of the Baltic Offshore Network BalMarTech
