Research and development

We plan and implement research and development projects in the fields of nature conservation and the environment.

Basic and applied research

We carry out numerous research projects in collaboration with universities, partners from industry or environmental organisations and with the support of authorities and ministries.

These projects range from basic research to application-related projects, e.g. to find solutions for the environmentally friendly further development of renewable energies and infrastructure projects.

Our focus is on ornithological research and research projects promoting biodiversity.

Fields of research include, among others:

  • Nature- and species-friendly photovoltaic projects on land
  • Method development for wind energy, e.g. anti-collision systems, continuous recording systems
  • Telemetric monitoring of birds of prey and other large bird species, radar ornithology
