Research and development

We plan and implement research and development projects – often in cooperation with universities, further business partners or environmental organisations and supported by authorities and ministries.

These include fundamental or applied research projects to find solutions for a sustainable further development of renewable energies and infrastructure projects. Our research focuses on ornithology and marine mammals as well as automated AI-based acquisition of large amounts of data.

Development and implementation of protection concepts are as much part of our field of work as the development of assessment systems within the framework of the Water Framework Directive in coastal waters or the implementation of the Marine Strategy Framework Directive.

We are further experienced in the development of monitoring concepts within the framework of the Trilateral Monitoring and Assessment Program (TMAP).
